Project Hope Worldwide is a non-profit organization that is seeking to improve the lives of orphans and widows nationwide. Their current focus is building a village in Lira, Uganda for orphans and widows. The village, called "Calo Me Lare" or "Village of Redemption", will consist of “2 circles” with each circle comprising of 8 homes. (You can see a model of the children's homes here.) Each home will be a family unit of 8 children and a house mother, who is a widow from the community. In addition to attending school, the children will be mentored in financial management, vocational training, farming and agriculture, and character development. Those showing aptitude for continuing education will be provided an opportunity to attend a university.
You can make a difference in a child on the other side of the world! By attending Kwero 2011, your donations will go directly to the building of Calo Me Lare and will help bring oppressed and grief-stricken orphans into a life of hope and happiness. Please save the date for April 15, 2011 and make plans to attend today!
